1955 Norton 99 Dominator 600cc twin. Standard, unmolested Dominator 99s are remarkably uncommon perhaps because they have morphed over the past 75 years into Tritons and other Featherbed framed Specials. Lots of Dominators were turned into Cafe Racers and Domiracer look-alikes by their owners just by changing the tank, seat, handlebars and exhausts. This particular model has had some subtle changes over the years including being fitted with a slightly later engine, Engine Number 9205 114 and has had a New Amal 1 1/16" Monobloc carburettor fitted. The engine had a rebore and full top end overhaul in 2022. Fitted with an early 750 Commando front wheel with 8 inch TLS front brake plate for better stopping power. This machine is being sold as a collector’s item, part of a stunning private collection of Vintage and Classic machines that have all been dry stored for several of years and will require light recommissioning prior to use. Please note that historical classic vehicles are sold as an investment opportunity and are not supplied under the same terms and conditions as a modern day running motorcycle. For more information regarding this machine please contact Ian Cunningham on 07415 871 189 or ian.cunningham@handh.co.uk This machine and 30 other classic bikes from the late Keith Mason's private collection will be sold by auction at the H and H Classic Auction held at the National Motorcycle Museum on Wednesday the 25th March 2026
