1958 Heinkel Kabine 153. This absolutely stunning example of the Heinkel bubble car was in a museum for many years and has since been brought back to life to be this lovely example you see before you. It has Only covered 20,933 miles ! The Heinkel has a 198cc 4 stroke single cylinder engine with 4 forward gears and 1 reverse gear (Which most bubble cars didn't have - you had to get out and push the car backwards !) they were manufactured in Germany between 1956 - 1958 and the 3 wheel bubble car was an unusual vehicle even in the 50's and today it's definitely quirky. The Heinkel Kabine was a microcar designed by Heinkel Flugzeugwerke and was later produced under licence in various factories around the world and they have been featured in many films over the years. The Kabine is a 3 wheel vehicle with two wheels up front and a front opening door. They have a canvas roof section which can be used as an emergency exit should the front door become jammed. The car comes with some old photos and paperwork from over the years and will certainly be a great fun vehicle for its new owner. This machine is being sold as a collector’s item, part of a stunning private collection of Vintage and Classic machines that have all been dry stored for several of years and will require recommissioning prior to use.
