Stunning, As New Vintage Triumph Tiger 100 Pre Unit Rigid Special from Purdy Engineering. This incredible bespoke machine is a creative engineers masterpiece from the renowned artisans at Purdy Engineering. Their Motorcycles can be badged as a ‘Purdy’ or a ‘Triumph’ as this forms the basis on which the Purdy is built and accredited by The Triumph Owners Club as authentic. Machine #1 of Only 5 - Commissioned April 2021, originally registered December 1946 and has only covered 66 'running in' miles. Purdy Historic Motorcycles was formed by two brothers having a vision to create bespoke English motorcycles using their 50 years of experience in traditional engineering skills. Born from inspiration and passion achieved through their love of creative engineering and further enhanced by their idyllic traditional barn style workshop location, set in the heart of rural Buckinghamshire. This wonderful bespoke machine been based on a Triumph T100 using many original parts, bolt up rigid frame, chrome spoked wire wheels, All Aluminium 500cc pre unit engine with Lucas magneto ignition and dynamo charging system, Amal pre monobloc carburation with twin remote float bowls, 4 speed pre unit Gear Box, Fitted with period correct Avon tyres, Brown & Barlow slide throttle, Triumph girder forks, Triumph ribbed mudguards & Smiths chronometric speedometer. The composition of all these parts are carefully crafted in their raw form and assembled piece by piece creating the authentic vintage style and classic looks. Hundred’s of hours are spent hand crafting these bikes with exacting attention to fine detail and high level finishing. All components have been developed and manufactured in house using a wide array of high quality materials, only the bespoke leather work comprising of rider and pillion seats, tank strap, cable sleeves, saddlebags & toolbox have been outsourced to an artisan saddler. This machine is being sold as a collector’s item, part of a stunning private collection of Vintage and Classic machines that have all been dry stored for several of years and will require a light recommissioning prior to use.
