1979 TRIUMPH TRIDENT T160 LEGEND

One of Only 60 bespoke examples made, these Triumph Trident T160 Specials were all hand built by the legendary Les Williams, Manager of the Triumph Factory Competition Department. The same man who built the infamous Slippery Sam T150 Trident Production race bike that won the TT on no less than 5 separate occasions, including the gruelling 10 Lap 1975 Production TT race (That's 337 racing miles around the IOM TT mountain course!) Each machine was hand built to offer greater performance and reliability than the original production bike that they are based upon. This particular T160 was built in the style of a 1970's TT travelling Marshalls bike / production race bike with its distinctive humped solo race seat, upswept 'ray gun' silencers and larger capacity alloy race fuel tank, as fitted to the original Slippery Sam. Prior to becoming part of this extensive collection of classic bikes it had a recent service and top end overhaul by Keith Dixon himself at Accrington. It has matching numbers XN07059 and comes with V5 and two keys, also supplied with some previous MOT's with the bike. It is in excellent order throughout. This machine is being sold as a collector’s item, part of a stunning private collection of Vintage and Classic machines that have all been dry stored for several of years and will require recommissioning prior to use.
